[Chumby Logo]No… not chubby!  Chumby!

This thing appears to be getting a fair amount of buzz in the circle of websites that I frequent.  I know that my interest is pretty high for a hackable WiFi device with a 3.5in touchscreen, audio capabilities, and a USB port.

With a baby on the way, I’ve been waiting (and waiting) for a sub-$200 WiFi LCD picture frame that could subscribe to feeds from say Flickr so that family could run them at their houses and always have up-to-date images of their grandson, nephew, etc.  This might be the device to make that a reality.

I hope they can stick to the $150 price point on this thing as well as the Spring 2007 release date.  If they pull that off and it’s as hackable as they say it will be, sign me up for half a dozen!

    To make this a suitable replacement for the mass appeal, I would think it needs the am/fm radio.

    Sure you can stream your Adam carolla from a website, but the Bill Handel fans of the world out in the cold!

    Also, I dont believe it has the out-of-the box capability to play mp3s, or the hardware specs to play divx video.
